Awqaf minister at Paris peace conference: Oman remains committed to achieving peace

Paris: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, headed the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the ‘International Meeting for Peace 2024’ held in the French capital, Paris from 22-24 September.
During the meeting, the minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik al Said and his sincere hope that this meeting will be crowned with success.
Al Maamari said that the Sultanate of Oman has paid a great attention to peace and the Basic Law of the State states that ‘peace is the objective of the state. The Sultanate of Oman remains committed to a global vision that supports the achievement of peace and it calls all parties to commit to achieving peace.
