Dedicated zone for street food opens in Amerat

 
Muscat - Muscat Municipality announced the opening of the dedicated site for Street Food (Masar) in Al Amerat in cooperation with Riyada, as part of the projects aimed at supporting small business owners and organizing the activities of street vendors.

The site provides an integrated environment that includes all basic services at 20 modern food carts designed according to the highest technical and health specifications.

The project offers a distinctive destination for enjoying unique dining experiences while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment that meets the required health and technical standards.

Earlier, the Muscat Municipality invited street vendors to register for opportunities to operate in a dedicated zone in Wadi Kabir in the wilayat of Muttrah.

According to Muscat Municipality, priorities will be given to owners residing in Muttrah.

The operator must have a license to practice the activity, must be of Omani nationality, and must be at least 18 years old. The project owner can practice the activity as stated in the license.

The applicant must not have another license to practice any other commercial, professional, or craft activity. The site has been prepared to cater to around 12 street vendors, with facilities such as electricity and water connections and designated parking spaces for customers’ vehicles.
