Ibri and Al Rustaq Share Points; Seeb outclass Al Khabourah

MUSCAT: A thrilling match between Ibri and Al Rustaq ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday at Rustaq Sports Complex Stadium. The match was part of the fifth round of Oman’s Football League. The draw raised both teams' points to four in the league standings. Al Rustaq is in eighth place on goal difference, while Ibri is in ninth place.
The game started strong with Ibri launching aggressive attacks. In the 4th minute, Augustine threatened Al Rustaq's goal with a shot but the goalkeeper managed to save it. Ibri continued their offensive efforts until Abdulaziz al Mandhari opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a well-coordinated play left him in front of the goal. Al Rustaq tried to make a comeback and had several chances the most notable being a header from Douglas in the 20th minute which narrowly missed the target. Just before the end of the first half, the referee disallowed a goal for Al Rustaq due to a foul on one of their players, leaving Ibri leading 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Rustaq imposed its control in search of equalising the score, while Ibri tried to maintain its lead. In the 62nd minute, Al Rustaq managed to score the equaliser through its player Musab al Shaqsi after a series of successive attacks. Despite the many opportunities that were available to both teams, neither team succeeded in achieving victory.
Seeb Dominates Al Khabourah
Seeb claimed a resounding 4-0 victory over Al Khabourah in a match played at Seeb Sports Stadium. With this victory, Seeb raised its score to 15 points to return to the top of the standings, while Al Khabourah's score froze at 6 points in sixth place. Muscat based team dominated the first half and opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Abdulaziz al Muqbali after a perfect pass from Ahmed al Khamisi. Seeb continued its offensive pressure until it obtained a penalty kick in the 25th minute after Zaher al Aghbari was obstructed, but Omar Al Malki missed the opportunity after Al Khabourah's goalkeeper saved the kick. Despite Al Khabourah's timid attempts, Seeb maintained its lead to end the first half with a clean goal.
In the second half, Al Khabourah's performance improved, and had some opportunities without being able to score. As time passed, Seeb regained control and added the second goal in the 78th minute through Jameel Al Yahmadi, after a low shot that hit one of the defenders and settled in the net. In the 87th minute, Ali Al Busaidi scored the third goal after exploiting a mistake by Al Khabourah's goalkeeper. With the start of stoppage time, Abdulrahman Al Mushaifri managed to score the fourth goal with a distinctive header after a cross from Ali Al Busaidy.
Saham defeat Al Nasr
Saham achieved an important victory over Al Nasr with a score of 2-1, in the match that was held at Al Saada Sports Complex Stadium. With this victory, Saham raised its score to 7 points, equal to Al Nasr, which maintains fourth place on goal difference, while Saham occupies fifth place.
