Coach Silhavy call Hatim Al Roushdi to join Red Warriors squad

Oman head coach Jaroslav Silhavy called Hatim al Roushdi to join the team’s squad as replacement of Mohammed Mubarak al Ghafri who suffered to an injury in his right leg. Al Roushdi will begin his training sessions with the national team players on Monday and he may will part in the crucial game against South Korea on Tuesday at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. Hatim took part with the national team during the previous round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers against Malaysia game in Kula Lumpur in last March as the match ended at 2-0 for Red Warriors.
Red Warriors will train their final session on Monday at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex as Czech coach will finalize the starting line up ahead of the key game. It is expected that the head coach and his assisting team will review the team’s first presence in the Asian qualifiers focusing more in the attacking side and enhancing team’s capability to score. Oman national team players reported back to the daily training sessions on Saturday at Royal Court Affairs stadium in Al Khoudh. Red Warriors will for strong bounce back after the shocking loss in the opening round against Iraq by 1-0 in Basra. In the same venue, the Korean opponent will have their main training session after two sessions at Seeb Stadium.
Oman’s striker Omar al Malki said that the main objective in the coming encounter is to register a positive result that will keep Oman’s hopes in the qualifiers. “ It is not important that whether I am in the starting line up or I am in the substation desk. Our main target as players is the national team to go further in the qualifiers and achieve the desired results. We are looking forward for the fans support in the forthcoming key match against South Korea. Their attendance will act as vital support for us to show our outstanding performance,” he ended
Oman will look to register a win against South Korea to revive their chances in the qualifiers ahead of Oman’s third game which will be against Kuwait on October 10 in Muscat. Next, it will be followed by Jordan clash on October 15 in Amman city. The concluding first leg matches will be against Palestine on November 14. The second leg matches will begin as Oman will host Iraq in Muscat on November 19 before travelling to Seoul to face South Korea on March 20, 2025, and then Kuwait on March 25, 2025. Then, Oman will be back to play a home game as they will take on Jordan in Muscat on June 5, 2025 and the concluding game against Palestine is scheduled on June 10, 2025 in an away match.
