MUSCAT: In the latest issue of its newsletter, Enjaz and Eejaz, the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) provides an in-depth look into its ongoing efforts to foster growth and align with Oman’s national objectives. The report underscores the importance of human resources in driving the Authority's strategic goals and reflects a broader commitment to the nation’s development.

Saud al Yahmadi, Assistant Deputy President for People and Change at OIA, emphasizes the organization's commitment to creating an ideal work environment for top talent. 'Our goal for OIA is to be a destination for the best talent,' says Al-Yahmadi. 'We aim to provide an environment where employees can achieve OIA's strategic goals and contribute to Oman's Vision 2040.'

Abdulsalam al Murshidi, President of OIA, echoes this sentiment, noting that the Authority’s greatest assets are its people. 'Our employees are the bedrock of our accomplishments,' he states. 'We are dedicated to training and investing in our human resources, believing that they are indispensable to Oman's development journey.'

The report details OIA's vision for its Human Resources Directorate, which aims to be a model of excellence and a hub for developing competent leaders. The Directorate’s goal is to create programmes that maximize performance and efficiency, aligning with OIA's strategic goals and Oman Vision 2040.

To achieve this vision, OIA has expanded its focus to include 'Talent Management' within its recruitment department. The Authority’s commitment to attracting and nurturing top talent is evident in its rigorous recruitment process and the high caliber of its employees. Notably, more than half of the CFA certificate holders in Oman are employed by OIA, and 392 out of 408 employees hold university degrees. These efforts have led to notable achievements, including winning the 2023 Institutional Ejada Prize for institutional excellence.

OIA’s recruitment strategy is also highlighted, with a focus on precision and digital innovation. The digital Jadarah platform, launched at the end of last year, plays a crucial role in managing recruitment, training, and evaluation. The platform, which utilizes AI and machine learning, has advertised over 840 positions, registered more than 52,000 accounts, and collaborated with over 65 companies.
