MUSCAT: In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Oxy Oman recently presented the Oxy Honors awards to the top 100 graduates from across the Sultanate for excelling in their 12th grade General Diploma grades.

Since its inception in 2019, the Oxy Honors program has recognized over 600 exceptional students, underscoring Oxy Oman’s commitment to educational excellence. Each year, Oxy Oman awards laptops to the top 100 graduates, supporting their educational development and future in higher education.

Additionally, the Oxy Honors program is a testament to Oxy Oman’s continued collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Since 2012, the company has held annual local ceremonies at schools in Oxy Oman’s concession areas to award high achieving school students of all ages.

The Oxy Honors awards event was held at Oman Convention & Exhibition Center under the auspices of Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance and the attendance of Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Sheibani, Minister of Education. Steven Lauver, Oxy Oman’s President and General Manager, attended along with other senior company executives.

“We are thrilled to host the Oxy Honors event for the sixth time for graduating students. The event highlights our dedication to fostering academic excellence, and our belief in the potential of these high-achieving students to drive innovation and leadership in the future,” said Lauver. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates, and we hope that Oxy Oman’s recognition and award will inspire them as they progress in their educational journeys.”

“This programme serves as a great motivational finish line for our graduating students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. It underscores the importance of school studies and the role it plays in shaping future experts and leaders. We deeply appreciate Oxy Oman’s continued collaboration on educational programs that benefit all facets of society in Oman,” said Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Education.
