Al Amerat Club signs professional players to boost squad

Oman’s Al Amerat Club has signed several agreements with foreign players ahead of the team’s participation at the World Winners Cup Alghero 2024 which will be hosted at Alghero beach in Italy during September 17 to 22, 2024.
The team has been strengthened following the recent contracts with Brazilian players Mauricio Anthony and Filipe Silva. Mauricio helped his national team of Brazil to win the Fifa World Beach Soccer Cup for two times and he served his team to lift the title of Russian league for eight times. Filipe is another Brazilian player who had played with his national team Brazil to win the Fifa World Beach Soccer team for two times and received the Olympic gold medal as best valuable player in Neom Beach Soccer Championship in 2022.
Italian goalkeeper Leandro Casapieri will join Al Amerat Club as goalkeeper. He is the goalie of the Italian national team. He was awarded as the best goalkeeper in the world in 2023 and in Europe in 2023. He served his team to win the European championship in 2023 and he was with the team when they ended as runners up in the World Cup 2024. Japanese national team player Ozu Moriera will represent Al Amerat at the World Winners Cup Alghero. He was the captain of the Japanese national team and selected as one of the top five players in the world in 2022 and in 2023. He served his team to win the Italian League in 2023.
Besides the professional players, the team will also be boosted with talented domestic players including Younis al Owaisi, Khalid al Oraimi, Muslim al Oraimi, Mishal al Oraimi, Salim al Oraimi, Sami al Balushi, Yahya al Murkhi, Abdullah al Souti and Ahmed al Owaisi. The national experienced beach soccer coach Talib Hilal will lead the team in this global event.
The World Winners Cup Alghero 2024 event is one of the most prestigious and competitive international tournaments in beach soccer representing a significant opportunity for Al Amerat to compete with elite clubs worldwide. The Muscat-based team will aim to achieve outstanding results through this global participation. Furthermore, Al Amerat club will work to increase the players experience and exchange skills with their global counterparts.

Al Amerat Club had managed earlier this month to earn a remarkable attendance at the Moscow Beach Soccer Cup after they finished in third place. They won against Juve Club from Senegal with a score of 4-2 in the third and fourth play-off.
Al Amerat beach soccer team began their campaign at the 2024 Moscow International Cup with a strong start as they thrashed Argentina’s Boca Juniors by 7-4 victory. Then, they managed to register a resounding 11-1 victory over Kazakhstan’s Malaisyari in the second round of Group A matches.
Later, they suffered a 5-1 loss against defending champions Lokomotiv Moscow in the concluding match of the group stage. Al Amerat Club ended the tournament in the third place as they had defeated Yo Club from Senegal with a score of 4-2.
The 2024 Moscow International Cup took place in Moscow, Russia, during August 1 to 5 with attendance of eight international beach soccer clubs including: Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Malaisyari (Kazakhstan), Strogino (Russia), Corinthians (Brazil), Gol Golsabz (Iran), Juve (Senegal) and Al Amerat (Oman). Al Amerat were grouped with Lokomotiv Moscow, Boca Juniors and Malaisyari in Group A while Group B comprised Strogino, Corinthians, Gol Golsabz and Juve.
Also, the team had managed to lift the beach soccer league title last season which was organised by Oman Football Association (OFA) in their first attendance at the domestic competitions. The club had secured second place at the conclusion of the Khorfakkan Beach Games in the United Arab Emirates.
