Egypt road accident kills Omani family, child survives

 
Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo reported the death of an Omani family who were on their way from Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The accident, in which a ten-year-old child survived, occurred as their car overturned.

The Embassy extends its condolences and sympathy to the close relatives of the deceased.

'As soon as the embassy received the news of the accident from the Egyptian security authorities, a team of embassy members was assigned to move to the accident site, which is 380 kilometers from Cairo, to arrange the transfer of the bodies and follow up on the child's condition. The child was transferred in the early hours of Saturday to Cairo under the supervision of diplomat Mahfouz Al-Ghazili,' a statement said.

The child's travel arrangements for recovery are based on the doctors' approval. A member of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman will accompany the child.
