Muscat: The Oman Employment Exhibition, the most significant employment event in the Sultanate of Oman, was inaugurated on Sunday under the patronage of Dr Mona bint Salem al Jardaniya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

The exhibition is being held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre and brings together a large number of institutions from both the public and private sectors.

The exhibition aims to showcase the latest and best employment opportunities and positions available, contributing to the enhancement of job seekers' skills and personal relationships. It provides a valuable platform for organisations, institutions, and job seekers to connect, showcase their potential, and discuss challenges related to job searching in Oman.

As part of the exhibition, a panel discussion titled 'The Future of HR Leadership – Leading Strategic Workforce Transformation' was held, moderated by Khaloud al Alawi, General Manager of Hala FM Entertainment Network.

The session featured distinguished speakers including Abdullah bin Khalfan al Sheili, Chief Human Resources Officer at United Engineering Services, Mohammed bin Salem al Shizaawi, Vice President of Personnel Affairs and Support Services at Port of Sohar and Freezone, and Marwa al Kharousi, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at Ominvest.

During the session, Khawla discussed how a positive work culture can encourage job seekers to acquire skills aligned with labor market needs, while Abdullah al Alawi shared insights on building a work environment that supports strategic HR transformation.

Additionally, Marwa addressed the alignment of training and development programs with strategic HR goals, and Mohammed al Shizaawi concluded the discussion by exploring how HR leaders can benefit from emerging technologies.

The exhibition is expected to provide valuable employment opportunities and enhance communication between job seekers and employers, further preparing the workforce to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.
