Children's Culture Centre concludes summer programme
MUSCAT: The Children's Culture Centre, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, wrapped up its summer programme for 2024. The programme saw a large number of students from schools, with 400 participants aged 6-16, both boys and girls, taking part in various workshops.
The summer programme offered a diverse range of activities in children's literature, sports, arts and safety.
The goal was to develop children's skills, enhance their culture and knowledge, stimulate curiosity, and promote learning.
The topics were carefully selected to align with the interests of young people and encourage creative learning and scientific skill development.
The programme also aimed to support the children's technical, scientific, and social capacities, as well as strengthen their analytical and innovative abilities.

During the summer, the Centre was diligent in carefully selecting programmes for the preparation and organisation period. 'Institutions and individuals concerned with children were also invited to participate in implementing the workshops. The programme was divided into four consecutive weeks, with a focus on developing a love for exploration, learning, and honing skills and was well-received by parents, who appreciated the workshops as an opportunity to occupy their children's free time while highlighting and developing their skills and abilities,' she said.
