Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday has granted a Royal pardon to several prisoners convicted of various offenses.
According to a statement from the Royal Oman Police, His Majesty has pardoned a total of 169 prisoners, including expatriates.
This act of clemency coincides with Eid Al Adha and reflects consideration for the families of the prisoners.
