MoI’s summer workshop for kids kicks off

A three-day talent workshop for the children of Ministry of Information (MOI) employees organised by the Cultural Library of the MoI and the Oman Daily Observer began at the ministry premises on Monday.

Twelve children are taking part in the workshop presented by Amira al Yahyaee from the MoI’s Engineering Systems. Zainab al Hashimi from online media and Nasser al Harrasi from the Observer newspaper are also among the trainers. Warda al Lawati was also part of the organising team.



During the workshop, children will get acquainted with the offerings of Ain smart phone app. It also highlights the importance of recycling and fostering environmental awareness.

The participants, who are aged six to nine years, will get training to develop passion for science and technology through problem-solving, brainstorming and competitions. It will also instil skills of team building and self-development.

Sam bin Fahd al Habsi, Saif bin Saud al Sariri and Al Qasim bin Saud al Sariri expressed their joy participating in the workshop, games and competitions. They will also learn about the ministry’s audio, print, visual, and electronic media.
