Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer activities from July 18

AL JABAL AL AKHDAR: Thanks to moderate weather, Al Jabal Al Akhdar in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is currently witnessing a significant tourist influx from citizens, residents, and visitors. The hilly terrain is an ideal destination for nature lovers and offers unique tourist experiences that combine natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is preparing to launch Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer activities, starting from July 18 and concludes on September 14.
On Sunday, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, to discuss the most prominent activities that will be included in the 'Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer.' The meeting decided to form a committee to supervise the activities of Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer, headed by the Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs in the governorate, to ensure its follow-up and readiness.
Within this framework, the season will include various cultural, social, sports, entertainment, heritage, and popular events planned by the governorate to stimulate local tourism and promote the tourism, heritage, and natural components that characterise the wilayat. It was taken into account that the activities keep pace with the unique tourist attractions, historical sites, and cultural landmarks of the province.
Regarding the most prominent events, the Governor was keen to include an exhibition for productive families and SMEs to encourage them to participate in Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer and benefit from opportunities to promote tourism and create temporary employment.
It is hoped that the 'Al Jabal Al Akhdar Summer' will contribute to attracting a larger number of tourists from both within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
