Heavy rains, flowing wadis reported in various governorates

Muscat: Muscat: Rustaq, which has been among the hottest places in the country, received around 35 mm of rainfall on Saturday, followed by Yanqul (30 mm), Ibri (25 mm), Ibra (16mm) and Ibra (15 mm).
No untoward incidents were reported due to rains and flowing wadis.
Heavy rains have been reported from Suhar (North al Batinah), Jalan Bani Bu Hassan (South Sharqiyah), and Wadi al Madam in the wilayat of Al Hamra, while the flowing Wadi Bani Ghafir saw disruption in road traffic between Rustaq and Ibri.
In the Governorate of Dhofar, several wilayats witnessed sporadic rainfall, especially in the coastal areas.
The wilayat of Rakhyut recorded the highest amount of rain, 59 mm, during the period June 5 and 7.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources will discharge about 15 million cubic meters of water from the Wadi Dayqah Dam till June 23 for the benefit of the farmers of Qurayyat.
