Oman condemns storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli officials

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman on Thursday condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem by a number of Israeli government officials, Knesset members, and extremist settlers

The Foreign Ministry of Oman (FMofOman) also condemned a move by Israeli authorities to allow extremists to organize a provocative march in the city of Jerusalem with the protection of the Israeli Defense Minister.

In a statement, Oman also affirmed that these systematic attacks are a clear violation of the relevant international resolutions, which require the international community to carry out its full and effective responsibilities to hold the Israeli occupation government accountable for these acts and violations.

The online statement issued by the Foreign Ministry reads as follows:

“The Sultanate of Oman denounces and condemns the attempt by an extremist group of officials in the Israeli occupation government, settlers, and members of the Knesset to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and organize a provocative march in the occupied city of Jerusalem under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, which represents a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions calling for respect for sanctities.”
