Over 1,000 trainees commence training in vocational colleges

MUSCAT: This week, 1,066 trainees have commenced their training in vocational colleges as part of the local community development programme.

The trainees have been distributed among seven vocational colleges located in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, represented by the vocational colleges, aims to enhance the professional and craft skills of community members in various fields such as engineering, information systems, architecture, construction, commerce, culture, society and plastic arts.



A total of 58 training courses will be conducted, with durations ranging from one to three weeks.

The Vocational College in Al Buraimi received the highest number of trainees (275), followed by Salalah (243), Saham (149), Sur (121), Ibri (101) and Seeb (75).
