Ministers offer condolences at the Iranian embassy in Muscat

 

Muscat: A number of Omani ministers today offered their condolences at the Iranian Embassy in Muscat on the death of Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his accompanying delegation, following a helicopter crash in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, in the northwest of Iran.

The ministers were received at the embassy by Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, and members of the diplomatic mission.

The ministers expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and friendly people of Iran. They also commended the role of the late President of the Republic and his Foreign Minister in strengthening bonds of fraternity with Oman.

The Iranian Ambassador expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the officials’ kind gesture, wishing the Sultanate of Oman continued progress and hoping that bilateral relations will see further growth.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ministers signed the Condolence Register, stating deep sympathy and commiseration with Iran. They prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow mercy and forgiveness on the late President and his accompanying delegation. They wished the Islamic Republic of Iran security and prosperity.
