Diplomats in Muscat mourn Raisi, foreign minister

The Embassy of Iran in Muscat began to receive condolences from the well-wishers for the late president Ebrahim Raisi, foreign minister and other officials, who were killed in a copter crash, at its premises on Tuesday.
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, attended the condolences ceremony followed by ambassadors and officials.
Shaiful Anuar Mohammad, Ambassador of Malaysia, said that the sudden death of the Iranian president and others is a tragic incident which leaves many hurt.
'The passing of the Iranian president and foreign minister is a tragic loss and keeps many hurt. Deepest condolences to the people of Iran on the loss. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the people of Iran. May Almighty bless their souls,' the Malaysian ambassador said.
'We received kind gestures of condolences from Oman's Foreign Ministry represented by the minister and other officials from various ministries and embassies, and other diplomatic missions since Tuesday morning. We are touched by the condolences paid by both citizens and expatriates in Oman,' said Mohammed Rouhani, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman. He thanked all those who attended the condolences ceremony. He further said that a condolences book will be available for registering condolences at the embassy premises on Wednesday.
