OBA Youth Championship to conclude today

Muscat: The Oman Basketball Association's (OBA) Youth Championship for the 2023-2024 sports season will conclude on Thursday at 6 pm. Four clubs participated in the championship namely Seeb, Nizwa, Al Suwaiq and Salalah.
The crowning ceremony will be held under the auspices of Engineer Khalfan bin Saleh al Naabi, OBA Chairman, in the presence of club representatives and members of the OBA board of directors at the secondary hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
Before the award ceremony, exhibition matches will be held between the top three clubs in the championship - Seeb, Salalah, and Nizwa - in basketball triples. These matches are part of the Oman Basketball Association's efforts to promote basketball triples and provide young players with the opportunity to showcase their talents.
It also allows the coaching staff to scout promising players to join basketball triples teams. Basketball triples is a recognised Olympic sport with tournaments held at the Gulf, Arab and international levels.
