The Sultanate of Oman is showcasing its rich cultural, heritage and academic legacy at the ongoing Doha International Book Fair. This ten-day event, which commenced on May 9, offers a multitude of attractions for all age groups.

This year, Oman’s participation is noteworthy as the country is the guest of honour for the 33rd edition of the fair, themed “With Knowledge, Civilisations Are Built.” Represented by 17 publishing houses, the Omani pavilion stands out amidst the participation of over 515 publishing houses from 42 countries.
Visitors to the Omani pavilion are taken on a journey through various books that reflect the culture and civilisation of Oman. The pavilion features a collection of Omani cultural elements registered on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, alongside rare manuscripts dating back a thousand years.
