Kuwait: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Shaikh Mishaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait held an official session of talks at Bayan Palace in the capital, Kuwait City on Monday.

At the outset of the session, the Emir of Kuwait reiterated his welcome to His Majesty the Sultan, being an eminent guest of the State of Kuwait, wishing His Majesty and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.

On his turn, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to the Emir for the warm welcome and hospitality. The session reviewed the deep-rooted and fraternal relations binding the two countries and their peoples, as these relations enjoy constant support and attention of the two wise leaderships.



The two leaders explored means of promoting areas of the existing cooperation and partnership in a manner that serves the Omani and Kuwaiti peoples.

The two sides also exchanged views on a set of regional and international issues. The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Dr Saleh bin Amir al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait.

Meanwhile, it was attended from the Kuwaiti side by Shaikh Sabah Khalid Al Hammad al Sabah (Head of the Mission of Honour), Shaikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmad al Sabah, Prime Minister in charge of forming the government, Shaikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al Salem al Sabah, Prime Minister in charge of handling urgent matters and Dr Mohammed bin Nassir al Hajri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman.
