After Dr Talib al Balushi made critical acclaim for his role in The Goat Life, an Indian movie which swept away the box office in the past fifty days after it's global launch, an avid film maker, Yousuf al Housni, who acted in Hollywood as well, is hitting the headlines after his short film 'Empty', fetched several international accolades to Oman.

'Empty', a five-minutes-long movie made by Yousuf, is a phylogenetic movie that has in-depth messages in different aspects of life. Yousuf has made an attempt to show what's in his mind and share the world his opinions.

'Empty movie is my directorial debut and it is the way to express myself to the world,' said Al Housni, adding that 'Empty' is all about a person who wants to show his innocence to the society and claims that he was a victim of social anomalies and seeks justice.

Made in Arabic language, the making of the movie took him more than a month to prepare it and more than 7 hours raw footage to edit. Following, it took another 2 to 3 weeks for post production thus completing it's edit, re-recording, VFX, and the like before it hit the public screen.

'It doesn't matter if my main message wasn't received by the audience, because at the end we all have our own fights and struggles in life and a movie can demonstrate few things that can be reflected in their lives,' Yousuf said.

'Empty' is produced by Ursula under Medulla Productions. Movie buffs can get a glimpse of the film at the festivals. Currently, 'Empty' is on a march winning both regional as well as critical global acclaims.
