Mahadha gets maximum rainfall in 3 days, Shinas 51.6 mm in one hour

Muscat: The wilayat of Mahadha in the Buraimi Governorate got the maximum amount of 302 mm of rainfall among the governorates for three days between April 14 and 17.
According to Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Water Resources (MAFWR), Yanqul got 240 mm, Liwa 236 mm, Shinas 206 mm, ibra 196, al Aawabi 195 mm, Khasab 194 mm, Al Hamra 177 mm, Izki 170 mm, Madha 166 mm during the same period.
Al Mudhaibi, where 10 school students lost their lives, received 159 mm of rain under the latest low-pressure system.
On Tuesday between 11 am and 12 noon, the wilayat of Shinas alone received 51.6 mm of rainfall.
The capital Muscat got 64 mm of rainfall over three days.
According to Oman Meterology, another wave is expected between April 24 and 25.
