OETC Organises Ramadhan Championship 2024

MUSCAT: The Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) recently organised the OETC Ramadhan Championship 2024, with the aim of enhancing the cultural and sports aspects among the employees from various companies in different sectors and believing in the necessity of improving cooperation, communication and engagement among all.
The championship lasted for a month and witnessed an active participation from 12 companies including Zawawi Powertech Engineering, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, the Security and Safety Services Institution, Nama Water Services Company, Oman National Engineering and Investment Company, Bahwan Engineering Company, Larsen & Toubro Oman, Taageer Finance, Nama Electricity Distribution Company, Nama Supply Company, and Nama Power and Water Purchase Company. It was sponsored by several companies such as Almarai Company, Blue Corner Company and Trade Links and Services Company, among others.
The participating teams were divided into 3 groups, each comprising 4 teams to compete during the championship, according to the draw organised under the auspices of Eng Saleh al Rumhi, OETC’s CEO, in the presence of Khamis al Balushi, Sports Programmes Presenter from Oman TV.
Abdullah al Ghammari, Administrative Services Department Manager at OETC, emphasised the company's efforts to enhance various sports, cultural and entertainment aspects for employees, in addition to OETC’s focus on enhancing communication and engagement among employees, whether within the company or with employees of different companies in other sectors, with the aim of developing and enriching the work environment and ensuring support for employees in various fields.
Al Ghammari added, 'OETC is committed to the safety of its employees and enhancing the work environment and it is keen on continuous and effective communication with various stakeholders through various initiatives, activities and events organised by the company on a permanent basis. The company organises football championships among its employees internally, as well as external championships at the level of the sector. This is due to such events’ impact on enhancing engagement among various institutions, in addition to its contribution to supporting sports and cultural aspects and supporting the community in this field'.
