Muscat: Seeb maintained their dominant lead in the Omantel League after defeating Al Rustaq 2-0 on Thursday at the Seeb Sports Stadium in the 15th round. League leaders Seeb entered the match with an attacking style and possession of the ball, while Al Rustaq played defensively. Seeb managed to open the scoring through defender Mohammed al Musallami after a perfect cross from Ali al Busaidi in the 14th minute. The pressure from Seeb's attacking players continued, and Marwan Taib scored the second goal in the 27th minute after a mistake by Al Rustaq's defence and goalkeeper. Al Rustaq players did not show any reaction after falling behind by two goals, and the first half ended with Seeb leading 2-0.

The pace of the match slowed down in the second half, and Seeb players created several chances that they could not convert into goals. Meanwhile, Al Rustaq players were unable to overcome Seeb defence, and the match ended with a 2-0 victory for Seeb. With this win, Seeb raised their points tally to 41, continuing their solo performance at the top of the Omantel League, widening the gap between them and second-placed Al Nahda to 11 points, moving closer to clinching the title this season. Meanwhile, Al Rustaq's points remained at 17, occupying the ninth place in the league standings.
