The Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society organised the second edition of the Omani-Bahraini bazaar under the auspices of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion at the Mall of Oman that took place from March 21 to 24.

Organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate of Oman, the event was graced by Dr Juma bin Ahmed al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, Rudayna bint Amer al Hajriyah, President of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society, and a number of their Excellencies and officials in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businessmen from the two brotherly countries, the exhibition audience and representatives of the local press.

The Omani-Bahraini bazaar exhibition stems from the objectives of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society which is devised to strengthen the bilateral trade relations in various fields, especially exhibition tourism, as well as to maximise the volume of partnerships between entrepreneurs and to develop bridges of communication between the two brotherly countries.



About 38 exhibitors from entrepreneurs and small and micro enterprises from the two brotherly countries participated in the Omani-Bahraini bazaar and included displays of Omani and Bahraini products for which both countries are known, including incense, perfumes, frankincense, food products, traditional clothing, silver jewellery, precious stones, and others.

'The Omani-Bahraini bazaar reflects one of the manifestations and images of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, which aims to support and develop the entrepreneurial segment within the framework of the plans and objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,' Dr Juma told the Observer.

'This exhibition is the fruit of the cooperation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman and the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Society, as the association aims to bring the two peoples closer together by holding events, exhibitions, seminars and conferences,' he added.

Rudayna confirmed that the exhibition comes within a package of activities included in the association’s annual plan for the year 2024. She appreciated the efforts of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman in facilitating the mission of the Association and Bahraini entrepreneurs to participate in this exhibition.

Rudayna pointed out that the association achieved many achievements in its second year in terms of activities, including exhibitions, conferences and seminars, as a result of the combined efforts of the concerned authorities in both brotherly countries.
