Trough of low system to affect Oman’s skies on Tuesday

Muscat: The latest analyses from the National Multi-hazard Early Warning Center indicate that a trough of a low system will affect the Sultanate of Oman starting from Tuesday, March 26, 2024 to Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Clouds advection and formation expected over most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, with isolated rains of varying of intensity (10-40 mm) predicted over Al Hajar Mountains Chain and governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar and parts of Al Wusta.
Sea condition will be moderate to rough (1.5-3 metres) along coastal areas of Sea of Oman and western Musandam, northerly winds (12-25 knots) over most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman that may cause dust rising over desert and open areas.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) advices all to take precaution during rains, wadis flow and the reduction of visibility. It also urges all to observe the visibility and sea state before sailing and follow the issued weather bulletins and reports.
