Royal attention to educational sector hailed

MUSCAT: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, voiced deep thanks and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for the great attention the education sector has received and for designating February 24 each year as an official holiday for the teaching and administrative staff in public and private schools in recognition of their efforts in performing the roles entrusted to them.
Delivering a speech on the occasion of the Omani Teacher’s Day, the minister praised the efforts made by teachers and their devotion in performing their educational mission to raise students in a sound manner and prepare them to contribute to building the comprehensive development process in this dear country.
The minister also appreciated the generous congratulations extended by Her Highness The Honourable Lady, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, to the teachers on this happy occasion as well as her deep appreciation for the efforts made by the administrative bodies and all workers in the educational field. - ONA
