Al Nahda School wins Pocari Sweat Championship

MUSCAT: Al Nahda School in Al Batinah South Governorate won the Pocari Sweat School Football Championship, after defeating Al Shoumoukh School in Al Wusta Governorate 3-1. At Cheltenham School in Muscat.
The conclusion ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Ohoud bint Said bin Rashid al Balushiyah, Member of the State Council, in present of Taher bin Mabkhout al Junaibi, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlis Ash’shura, representative of the Wilayat of Al Duqm, in present of former national team player, Ali al Habsi and Mohammed al Nofali, ambassadors of the Oman School Sports.
The tournament organised by the Oman Sports Federation for students in grades 2-4, which witnessed 88 students represented 8 schools, competed in 16 matches.
In determined match of third and fourth place, Al Khashabah school represented Al Wusta Governorate finished third place, after beat Bat school, Al Dhahirah Governorate representative.
The distinguished players were also honoured, as for the individual, Turki al Thuhli from Al Nahda School, along with his colleague Moataz al Hattali. While Abdullah al Muqbali from Bat School award for best goalkeeper.
