The second national student conference which is aimed at providing a platform for undergraduate students to showcase their research endeavours, with the goal of promoting growth, collaboration, and development across various domains, will be held under the auspices of Dr Maryam bint Belarab al Nabhaniyah, Director General of Private Colleges and Universities at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, on February 21 and 22, on hybrid model.

Organised by Muscat College in association with the Oman IT Society, the high-end conference aims to enhance the professional and academic experiences of undergraduate students across higher education institutions in Oman.

This highly anticipated event aims to bring together students from educational institutions across the country.

'The primary objective of the conference is to provide a platform for students to share their research findings, engage in networking opportunities, and cultivate a culture of research and innovation. With the participation of students from various Higher Education Institutes in Oman, the conference seeks to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among the academic community,' Dr Reshmy Krishnan, chief coordinator told the Observer.

'We anticipate the participation of students from various Higher Education Institutes across Oman, fostering collaboration and facilitating knowledge exchange within the academic community at the conference, ' she added.

'We are excited to host the 2nd National Student Conference and provide students with a platform to showcase their research outputs and connect with their peers,' said Dr Khalfan al Masruri, Dean, Muscat College.

Distinguished speakers such as Dr Ali al Alawi, Laila al Hadhrami, and Ali bin Hassan bin Moosa will deliver addresses covering a range of fields. The conference will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and presentations by students on a wide range of topics. It promises to be a dynamic and enriching experience for all participants. The selected papers will be presented by the students on the second day of the conference in three parallel sessions.
