Art Dubai, a premier global art fair, is set to unveil its 17th edition at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, from 1 to 3 March, with previews scheduled for 28 and 29 February. The event promises a captivating array of programs and partnerships, showcasing the transformative power of art and reinforcing its pivotal role in our ever-changing world.

Highlights of the upcoming edition include a series of newly commissioned performances focusing on themes of healing, hope, and the resilience of art during challenging times. Additionally, the conference and talks program, which has been expanded to encompass an international scope, promises insightful discussions and thought-provoking sessions.

One of the flagship events, the Global Art Forum, curated by Commissioner Shumon Basar and Curator Nadine El-Khoury, will explore the intricate relationship between extreme weather and societal change, offering unique perspectives from renowned artists, architects, academics, and thinkers.

Furthermore, Art Dubai 2024 will introduce the inaugural 3-day Art Dubai Digital Summit, aimed at shaping Dubai's digital art ecosystem with input from local and international experts. This initiative underscores the fair's commitment to innovation and its role in driving cultural evolution.

The A.R.M. Holding Children's Programme, now in its fourth edition, will kick off at the fair before expanding to over 100 schools and engaging more than 15,000 students across the UAE. This ambitious initiative, led by Goa-based artist Sahil Naik, aims to inspire creativity and environmental consciousness among the younger generation.

In addition to these programs, Art Dubai 2024 will feature a diverse lineup of collaborations with local and international partners, reaffirming its status as a nexus for creative communities from the Global South. With over 120 presentations from 60 cities and 40 countries across four sections, including Contemporary, Bawwaba, Art Dubai Modern, and Art Dubai Digital, the fair promises an immersive and enriching experience for visitors.

Art Dubai has always been at the forefront of fostering innovative cultural programming, with a focus on education and digital technologies. These initiatives, developed in collaboration with institutional and commercial partners, play a vital role in shaping Dubai's cultural landscape and addressing contemporary issues.

Beyond the fairgrounds, Art Dubai Week will see a vibrant array of exhibitions and events hosted across the UAE, highlighting the region's dynamic cultural scene. From gallery openings to museum showcases and independent art spaces, the weeklong extravaganza offers something for every art enthusiast.

Pablo del Val, Artistic Director of Art Dubai, emphasized the fair's commitment to fostering cultural exchange and supporting emerging talent. 'Art Dubai has a responsibility to be more than just a commercial platform,' he stated. 'Our programs reflect the multicultural fabric of Dubai, providing opportunities for artists from diverse backgrounds to showcase their work.'
