CAA issues alert No 2 on climatic conditions

Muscat: The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued Alert No 2 on the heavy rainfall expected over the Sultanate of Oman. It reads as follows:
“It is expected that heavy thundershowers associated with downdraft fresh winds and hail will fall tomorrow Mondah over the governorates of Muscat, South Al Batinah, Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, South Al Sharqiyah, and North Al Sharqiyah.
The Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precautions during thundershower rain, and not to cross Wadis (Flash Flood) and avoid low-lying areas and not to sail during alert period”.
