Omani wildlife exhibition ‘Hidden Nature’ held

AN Omani wildlife exhibition titled ‘Hidden Nature’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in strategic partnership with the Omani Society for Arts, opened on January 8, Monday.
The exhibition was held under the patronage of Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism.
The exhibition includes 51 artistic paintings. Two themes of Omani wildlife, ‘Insects’ and ‘Reptiles’, saw the participation of seven Omani photographers who are experts in photographing wildlife, and paintings displayed with scientific names registered in scientific institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition will last for two weeks. The participation of several artists includes the display of live specimens and the presentation of research papers on wildlife.
Ahmed Al Busaidy presented a lecture on Omani snakes explaining their types and methods of dealing with them. The exhibition also includes a practical workshop for photographers and in close-up photography presented by professional photographers.
