Investment opportunity floated for establishing treated water farms in Al Amerat

Muscat: An investment opportunity has been floated for private sector investors to set up treated water projects in Al Nahda area in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, Muscat Governorate, within a total area of about 500 fedans (2.1 million square metres).

The projects stem from an initiative espoused by the National Employment Programme (NEP) in cooperation with a number of government departments and private sector establishments.

The NEP initiative seeks to consolidate partnership with the private sector and augment the volume of basic agricultural commodities. It also promotes self-sufficiency and supports the food security system.
