Seeb Club emerged victorious against Ahli Sidab Club 96-41 in the second round of Oman Basketball League 2023-24 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.

This triumph propelled the Seeb team to the top of the overall standings in OBL with 20 points.

Seeb excelled in the match, securing the win, especially after dominating in the first three quarters with a significant lead. Despite a draw in the fourth quarter, Ahli Sidab's efforts were not enough to change the outcome, as Seeb maintained their scoring and performance advantage.

The Seeb players, such as the American player Bress, Abdulrahman al Shuaibi, Rashid al Wahibi, Mazen al Hadidi and Hassan al Faraji led Seeb's scoring.

Seeb started the game well, imposing their playing style in both offensive and defensive strategies. They began with a seven-point lead after three successful shots, two from under the basket by Bress and Hassan al Faraji, and a three-pointer by Abdulrahman al Shuaibi. Despite Ahli Sidab attempts to score, with Ahmed al Hassani finally succeeding, Seeb extended their lead to 18-1. Seeb continued their offensive attempts, adding nine more points, while Ahli Sidab managed to score three points through their players Wael Gellati and Khaled al Hashmi. The first quarter ended with Seeb leading Ahli Sidab 27-4.

In the second quarter, Seeb maintained their dominance. Bress scored a three-pointer in the first attack, and the team continued their assault, adding four more points through Rashid al Wahibi and Bress. Ahli Sidab responded with two points from Zakaria al Wahibi, bringing the score to 34-6. Both teams continued their offensive efforts, with Seeb adding 17 points and Ahli Sidab scoring seven, ending the first half with Seeb leading 51-13.

In the third quarter, Seeb continued to score and widen the gap, adding 27 points, while Ahli Sidab scored 10 points. The third quarter ended with Seeb leading 78-21.

As for the fourth quarter, there was equality in performance and scoring, with both teams improving in their offensive and defensive plays. Each team scored 18 points in the quarter, and the match ended with Seeb winning against Ahli Sidab with a score of 96-41.

The match was officiated by internationals Essam al Siyabi as the first referee, Wafa al Sumairi as the second referee and Mazen al Hilali as the third referee. The table officials included Jamal al Hanai, Yaqoub al Nadabi and Majed al Akhzami.
