NEW DELHI: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at his residency in New Delhi on Friday to Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India.

The audience reviewed the advanced relations between Oman and India and means of promoting them in various areas.

The two sides exchanged views on a set of regional and international issues of common concern. The audience was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, and Issa bin Saleh al Shaibani, Ambassador of Oman to India.

Meanwhile, it was attended from the Indian side by Muktesh Pardeshi, Secretary of Consular, Passport, Visa & Overseas Indian Affairs at the Ministry of External Affairs, Aseem Raja Mahajan, Joint Secretary in the Department of External Affairs (Gulf Region) and Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to Oman. -- ONA
