Swiss president to visit Oman this Thursday

Muscat: President Dr Alain Berset of the Swiss Confederation and his spouse will pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman this Thursday.
A statement was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court to this effect. It reads as follows:
“With the prime objective of consolidating the friendship relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Swiss Confederation in a manner that boosts their cooperation in various spheres, President Dr Alain Berset of the Swiss Confederation and his spouse will pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday 30/11/2023 and Friday 1/12/2023.
The visit reflects the Royal keenness accorded by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Dr Alain Berset to bilateral relations between the two countries and means of promoting them to serve their peoples.
The visit will discuss a set of topics of concern to both countries, in addition to exchanging views on current regional issues.
May the Almighty Allah protect His Majesty the Sultan, grant him good health and guard him as a source of pride for Oman and its people!”
