Omani photographer Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Shuaili, in the presence of a number of photographers and interested parties.
Al-Shuaili, a luminary in the realm of photography, shared insights into his journey, stating, 'My passion for photography ignited in my youth, leading me to garner numerous accolades both locally and internationally. My artistic odyssey began in 2014, propelling me to partake in various photography exhibitions across the globe. My lens gravitates toward capturing the essence of Omani life, particularly the simplicity and authentic elegance found in the lives of its people—woven into the fabric of traditional clothing, heritage buildings, and the vibrant markets, castles, and forts.'
A collection of 30 evocative photographs unveiled Al-Shuaili's dream, as he realized a personal exhibition long envisioned. The event drew a gathering of fellow photographers and art aficionados, transforming his photographic journey, replete with challenges and triumphs, into an inspiration for budding talents striving to see their dreams materialize.
Since 2014, Al-Shuaili has graced local and international exhibitions, amassing a collection of awards. Commencing his career by capturing the essence of Omani markets, castles, forts, and villages, his lens delved into the intricacies of traditional attire and the nuances of life that underscore the simplicity and uniqueness of the Omani culture.
Among his accolades, Al-Shuaili claimed the top spot and a gold medal in the World Cup of Photography's 21-year-old age group, secured first place in the Nasser bin Hamad International Youth Creativity Competition, earned the prestigious title of the best young photographer in France with a gold medal, and clinched the fourth position in the World Cup competition in Germany at the youth level.
This awe-inspiring exhibition unfolds its splendor until the close of November this year, alongside other permanent exhibitions gracing the halls of the institution. Embark on a visual journey through the lens of Al-Shuaili, where dreams materialize in every meticulously captured frame.'
