Weather: Al Suwaiq receives highest rainfall

MUSCAT :Several wilayats of Al Batinah North Governorate experienced moderate to heavy rains due to the impact of the air trough affecting the Sultanate of Oman's atmosphere during the period from November 5-8.
According to the figures released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MoAFWR), the Wilayat of Al Suwaiq received the highest amount of rainfall of 75 mm.
The Wilayat of Mad'ha received rains of 70 mm during the same period followed by the Wilayat of Shinas with 58 mm.
Meanwhile, convective clouds are prevailing over the mountainous areas of Al Batinah South, Al Batinah North and Al Dakhiliyah governorates with chances of rain of varying intensity.
On Thursday, clouds continued to form over Al Hajar Mountains and some parts of Al Sharqiyah South and Al Wusta governorates.
According to Oman Meteorology, the prevailing weather condition was expected to end on Thursday.
