MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister on Wednesday held the annual meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to the Sultanate of Oman to exchange viewpoints and clarify on topics related to the social and economic development and foreign policy of the Sultanate of Oman.

Regarding the Sultanate of Oman’s foreign policy, the foreign minister stressed the country’s constant principles and its firm commitment to dialogue and the principles of justice, respect for international law, and constructive cooperation with countries and peoples. The minister pointed out the importance of dialogue in dealing with regional and international issues and resolving disputes by peaceful means thus contributing to achieving reconciliation, harmony and peace between all conflicting parties.



Top on the meeting’s agenda was the tragic conditions in the Gaza Strip and the severe suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people as a result of the military operations launched by the Israeli occupation forces which violate international law and international humanitarian law.

The foreign minister reiterated the Sultanate of Oman’s firm stance condemning these violations stressing that his country is taking all efforts alongside brotherly and friendly countries and international organizations for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, ending escalation and working on the urgent flow of humanitarian and relief aid.

At the end of the meeting, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Sultanate of Oman for their efforts to foster relations between the Sultanate of Oman and their respective countries. — ONA
