Jabel al Akhdar, Nizwa to get mega public parks

Muscat: A tender has been floated for the construction of a public park in Jabel al Akhdar in the Al Dhakiliyah Governorate.
According to the Tender Board, preference will be given in awarding to companies or institutions whose bid includes the largest percentage of Omanisation and possible purchase percentage of national products.
The last date for submitting bids is November 16, 2023.
A tender has been also floated for the construction of Nizwa public park which covers around (170,000.00 sq.m) to create a recreational spot for the community living in and around the area.
Al Jabal Al Akhdar is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Oman, as a number of regional and international tourists flock to explore its pleasant climate, mountain ranges, farms, aflaj, and heritage houses over the weekends and holidays.
The park will include walking and bicycle tracks, a play area, lawns, sitting area, fountains, theater, a traditional market, a lagoon, bridges, and other utilities.
