Housing ministry offers two investment opportunities within the ‘Sorouh’ project

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning announced through its electronic platform ‘Tatweer’ the offering of two investment opportunities for the National Initiative for Integrated Residential Neighbourhoods (Sorouh project) in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

The first investment opportunity is located in the Wilayat of Bahla, on an area of more than 452,000 square meters, to provide about 600 residential lands, while the second opportunity is in the Wilayat of Samail, on an area exceeding 137,000 square meters, and it is expected to provide 400 residential units.

Engineer Masoud al Hashemi, Director General of Real Estate Development at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that these efforts come to ensure the provision of diverse housing options to those eligible, among 5 other options, including the integrated residential neighborhoods ‘Sorouh’, ‘Choose your land, acquire your land’, and ‘plans for your land and future cities’, in order to achieve the Ministry’s vision towards sustainable urban development.

In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), he said the title deeds were delivered to the first batch of those eligible to own property in the integrated residential neighbourhoods project ‘Sorouh’ in Al Naseem neighbourhood in Halban, which represents 6 per cent of the housing units ready for immediate delivery, amounting to 220 residential units within the first phase of the project.

He stated that 6 sites were offered in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman with a total area exceeding 1.9 million square meters within the ‘Sorouh’ plans programme, to enhance the options available to citizens who are eligible to be granted government residential lands and who desire residential lands with integrated residential plans.

The Ministry proposed several sites distributed in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and two projects were assigned in Muscat Governorate (Al Ahed and Al Amerat) and South AlBatinah (Al Lubban and Halban) with an investment value of RO 150 million. — ONA
