15 investment opportunities offered for agriculture projects

IBRA: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Tuesday offered 15 investment opportunities on Tatweer platform for agricultural projects under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources with a total area of 2.5 million square metres in the wilayats of Al Mudhaibi and Bidiya.
In the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, the ministry offered four investment opportunities spanning a number of agricultural projects. These include two opportunities in calves fattening and seasonal fodder production projects in the Al Zahira village with an estimated area of 420,000 square metres. The project involves establishing an integrated farm for calves fattening for producing red meat and the production of seasonal fodder such as corn, barley, millet, cowpea and sorghum.
Also offered by the ministry in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi is an investment opportunity for camel breeding and reproduction project and production of seasonal fodder. The project is an integrated farm for the breeding and reproduction of camels located in Al Sabsoub village with an estimated area of 420,000 square metres. The project aims to boost the production of red meat and seasonal fodder.
Also offered by the ministry is an investment opportunity for the breeding and reproduction of goats and producing seasonal fodder at an estimated area of 420,000 square metres in Al Zahira village in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi.
In the Wilayat of Bidiya, the ministry has offered 11 investment opportunities 9 of which have been allocated to the cultivation of palm trees and one opportunity for each of the seasonal fodder cultivation projects and vegetable cultivation in greenhouses and open fields. In addition, the ministry offered an investment opportunity for a project for growing vegetables in greenhouses and open fields in the village of Al Dhafra in the Wilayat of Bidiya on an estimated area of 420,000 square metres.
This is in addition to an investment opportunity allocated for the seasonal fodder cultivation in the Al Rumail village in the Wilayat of Bidiya on an area of 16,800 square metres to be invested by a private company capable of using modern agricultural methods. — ONA
