Oman supports joint action to build 'one future': Sayyid Assad

New Delhi: The Sultanate of Oman stressed, in the closing session of the 18th G20 Summit, the utmost importance of joint action and agrees with the vision of the Indian presidency to build a “one future” for human civilization, especially in light of the challenges expected to be faced in the coming years.
His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, head of the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman participating in the Summit, said 'The Sultanate of Oman appreciates the topics discussed and focused on financing future cities, and shares the vision of the Indian presidency regarding the competent authorities, especially the International Finance is committed to taking these endeavors into account when planning infrastructure.'
The Sultanate of Oman also welcomes notable efforts across many fields that seek to define the global skills map and reduce the inherent gap between it and the requirements of the labor market.
He added, “We emphasize that digital infrastructure, and devoting it to serving everyone, will play an important role in achieving sustainable economic growth, and therefore we applaud all initiatives that make ways of knowledge available to everyone and are compatible with our endeavors, and we agree with you in building safe, reliable, and well-established principles for the digital economy. Oman Vision 2040 attaches great importance to education, scientific research, and innovation in support of our development goals, so we emphasize sustainable financing for these pivotal sectors, and investment in human resources in order to build a diversified knowledge economy that keeps pace with the requirements of the times and entrepreneurship, and is able to confront and overcome challenges.”
