Oxy Ultra Marathon to be held from December 7

Muscat: The Oxy Ultra Marathon, to be held in collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth and Oxy Oman, and organized will kickstart on December 7-9.
The ' Oxy Ultra Marathon' represents an exceptional sporting event that brings together running enthusiasts and endurance champions from all over the Sultanate and beyond.
The event takes place in Muscat, particularly in Wadi al Khoud in wilayat A' Seeb, which is easily accessible to all participants.
This unique race aims to showcase Muscat Governorate and shed light on the country's mountain sports. The marathon also aims to place Muscat on the global map of mountain runners and make it a notable destination for the sport's followers.
The marathon includes challenging routes of varied distances that suit all levels and abilities, starting from beginners to professionals in running. This event is an incredible opportunity for participants to showcase their physical strength, achieve new challenges, and expand their personal boundaries.
The first edition saw the participation of 1,000 competitors representing 23 countries. These competitors served as media ambassadors for the Sultanate, promoting it through sharing their experiences on their social media profiles and speaking about the race among their friends.
The second edition brings diversity and new ideas with different races, including a race dedicated to individuals with disabilities, opening a 50-kilometer race for the female category, and hosting accompanying events during the three days of the race.
