MUSCAT, AUG 21
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion has launched an engaging promotional campaign in support of its investor residency programme. This campaign aims to highlight the programme's benefits and services, particularly the Invest in Oman lounge at Muscat and Salalah international airports.
The investor residency programme allows foreign investors and retirees to secure long-term residence in the Sultanate of Oman for 5 or 10 years, with the option to renew. To acquire an investor residency card, interested individuals must submit their applications through the official website: https://tejarah.gov.om/InvestorResidency.
Holders of the investor residency card enjoy numerous privileges. They are granted the right to own property outside the integrated tourism complexes (ITC) for various purposes, excluding restricted land ownership. Furthermore, investors can reside in Oman with their immediate families, without restrictions on the number of family members or their ages.
Cardholders also benefit from designated paths at airports and ports, issue visitor visas for relatives, conduct economic activities, and work in the country without requiring a sponsor for a private work visa. Domestic workers in private professions can also be brought in.
Since its inception until August 21, 2023, over 2,700 investor residence cards of various nationalities have been issued in both the 10-year and 5-year categories, including retirees.
In addition, Oman offers comprehensive investment opportunities across various sectors through the Invest in Oman hall. The official platform (https://investoman.om) presents well-structured investment options aligned with incentives and facilities provided to investors. Sectors covered include logistics, manufacturing, education, technology, information technology, health, circular economy, mining, fisheries, renewable energy, agriculture, and tourism. Dedicated investor relations managers cater to each investor's needs, facilitating smooth procedures, approvals, and efficient investment services.
