Dhofar Governors' Forum advances strategic collaboration and economic advancement

Dhofar is hosting a high-profile assembly of governors for discussions on strategic collaboration and economic advancement across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The symposium, named ‘Collaboration and Progress’, has been organised by the Office of the Governor of Dhofar.
The Dhofar Governors' Forum is part of the broader Oman government initiative to foster economic development and prosperity in the governorates. Aligned with Oman's Vision 2040, which strives to transform Oman into a diversified and knowledge-centric economy, the forum garners significance.
Governors from across Oman, along with representatives from governmental and private sectors, are anticipated to partake in this event. The symposium presents a valuable juncture for participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and forge cooperative strategies.
In his inaugural address, His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, underscored the significance of cross-governorate cooperation in achieving economic growth and prosperity. He stressed the important role of digital transformation in driving economic development.
The two-day symposium encompasses an array of presentations and dialogues and is expected to yield an array of recommendations fostering collaboration among governorates and government entities.
“This forum provides an avenue to dissect shared challenges and opportunities, and to shape strategies for collaboration,' said HH Sayyid Marwan. “The influence of digital transformation on driving economic expansion cannot be overstated.' 'I'm optimistic that this symposium will yield recommendations to propel us toward economic growth and prosperity in Dhofar and across Oman,' he further added.
Mansour al Alawi, usufruct director within the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, presented a developmental plan that leverages investment land for the benefit of conservation. This initiative also includes enhancing services through digital transformation.
