Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will be affected by an air depression (low pressure) extending from western India in the coming days, starting Monday.
The latest weather maps and analysis by the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre indicated that Oman clouds are expected to flow over
most of the governorates, with chances of sporadic rain (10-30 mm), starting Monday evening in the Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, and gradually extending on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to include the Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.
The weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy in the rest of the governorates, with the possibility of scattered and occasional thunderstorms around the Hajar Mountains during this period.
The sea will be medium to rough on the coasts of the Sea of Oman, and its maximum height ranges between (1.5-2.5 meters), while waves on the coasts of the Arabian Sea will be around 4m.
The Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to take caution and not risk crossing valleys and be careful
