Tadoom gets permit for IoT services in Oman

 
Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued a new permit to provide Internet of Things services in the sultanate.

TRA has issued a decision to grant a permit to provide Internet of Things services to the Future Cities Company (Tadoom), which specializes in providing smart city solutions using the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technologies.

The decision aims to enable the provision of smart and innovative services to beneficiaries to raise the efficiency of services and reduce operational costs.

The decision also seeks to promote the digital economy and investment opportunities in smart city applications.

Through this permit, the company will be able to provide various IoT applications such as utility management, smart meters, irrigation and agricultural applications management, and vehicle parking management.

Through its strategic objectives, the authority seeks to enable investment in innovative technologies and services by building a diversified and integrated competitive economy based on future foresight, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
