Double taxation treaty inked between Oman, Russia

Muscat: The Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation signed on Thursday a Double Taxation Treaty on income tax and tax evasion.
The agreement aims to provide legal protection for investors from double taxation. It also regulates imposing taxes between the two countries in a manner that contributes to boosting investments and trade exchange.
The agreement was signed by Saud Nasser al Shukaili, Chairman of the Tax Authority and Alexi Sazanov, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Finance.
Moreover, the Sultanate of Oman has signed 38 double taxation treaties with various Arab and friendly countries in a bid to enhance investments and trade exchange.
